In-House Metal Alloying
We manufacture our aluminum bronze alloys in-house using state-of-the-art testing equipment to secure quality results. Our equipment includes a SPECTROLAB metal analyzer to test the chemistry of every metal we pour to ensure the chemical composition matches the client’s specifications exactly. This detailed analysis allows our team to make minor adjustments to the chemical makeup if necessary to match your exacting specifications. Aluminum bronze valves can be cast with a wide range of different alloys, and some of our most commonly used are 954, 955, and 958 aluminum bronze.

Aluminum Bronze Valve Component Equipment
At our Erie, PA foundry, we utilize several high-end machines that allow us to carry out our manufacturing and casting work quickly and with quality control. None are more advanced and efficient than our new DISA MATCH 20/24 Molding System which offers components with an improved surface finish and increased tensile strength while reducing hard inclusions in the casting. Erie Bronze is proud to be one of the few custom bronze valve component manufacturers utilizing the most precise green-sand match plate system available in the market today.
The DISA machine can store up to 30,000 pattern designs, offering fast and accurate results for repeated production runs of custom aluminum bronze valves. Other stored information includes casting type, pattern parameters, and customer details. We also have four electric furnaces, each with up to a melting capacity of 2,000 pounds suitable for even the largest valve manufacturing jobs with high-volume production runs and tight deadlines.
Aluminum Bronze Valve Components for the Oil & Gas and Naval Industries
Our bronze valve components can be designed and manufactured for applications in industries that subject components to harsh conditions. The oil and gas industry requires parts that can withstand exposure to corrosive environments, and our quality assurance system maintains strict compliance with regulations. Each piece of technology we use and product we make is subject to visual inspections conducted by our Quality Control Supervisor. This quality assurance process also governs our specialist capabilities like logistics, heat treatment, and other value-added services.
Naval applications require high levels of strength and corrosion resistance, and we have extensive experience utilizing C95800 aluminum bronze for valve components that spend a lot of time underwater. C95800 specifically offers exceptional resistance to corrosion from seawater, chlorides, and dilute acids due to its tensile strength and Rockwell hardness levels. We can craft valve components in adherence to Mil-B-24480 specs and other military specs to produce products like fluid power valves (NAICS Code: 332912), hose fittings (NAICS Code: 332912), and non-powered valves (FSC Code: 4820).
